Real Madrid confirm preseason friendly against Schalke 04 Real Madrid have only around three weeks left to prepare for the upcoming season as their first La Liga game of the 2026-27 season is scheduled to be played on 22 nd August. As things stand, although Jose Mourinho is still waiting for some of the most important players to return after their holidays, the Merengues have already completed a significant part of the preseason.
So far, they have played two training matches. The first ended in a 1-0 win over Alcorcon , while the second ended in another 4-1 win against Leganes. Going forward, Los Blancos are going to play several friendlies in the month of August.
As Diario AS has reported, Real Madrid have today finalized one more friendly game for the preseason, and they will travel to Germany to face Schalke 04 on 16 August. This game is an event to celebrate the 25 th anniversary…
