Carolina Panthers wide receiver Chris Brazzell II will have to wait a bit to make his NFL debut.
Brazzell limped off the field and was carted to the locker room during training camp on Wednesday after going down on a noncontact play during 7-on-7 drills. According to both ESPN and The Athletic , Brazzell sustained a moderate lateral collateral ligament tear in his left knee.
He's now expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks. If that's the case, Brazzell could be ready for the team's Week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
"It was just something that just started to get sore after the first couple of days. He mentioned it to us. We started to look at it," Panthers coach Dave Canales said. "We put him through some good recovery stuff and de-loaded him for a couple days. Got him back out there and he couldn't finish the day."
