Brandon Cisse knows he has a long way to go to become a bona fide starting cornerback in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers selected him with pick No. 52 in the 2026 NFL Draft because they believe he can be just that, though.
On Wednesday, the first day of training camp, Cisse got a chance to run with the "ones" and act as if he belonged.
To be fair, the reason Cisse got first team reps was because veteran Keisean Nixon is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Starting the year as Green Bay's CB3, that bumped the rookie up to start alongside Carrington Valentine in team drills.
Per Mike Spofford of the Packers' website, the 11-on-11 team work was a red zone period near the goal line, so Cisse didn't get a chance to do much covering as a cornerback. He did step up and break up a screen pass, though.
