Oilers fans furious after surprising goaltending decision emerges
The Edmonton Oilers have no shortage of firepower up front, and the expectation heading into 2026-27 is that this roster will compete for a championship once again. But the biggest talking point this week has nothing to do with skaters.
According to Allan Mitchell of The Athletic, Tristan Jarry has surfaced as the early frontrunner to be Edmonton's No. 1 goaltender when the season opens. The projection, shared widely on social media, immediately sparked debate among Oilers fans who weren't expecting Jarry's name at the top of the depth chart.
