The presidential candidate,l of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2027 elections, Peter Obi, will attend the burial of Pa Okaji Simon Okorie Abba, father of Chief Linus Okorie, NDC senatorial candidate of Ebonyi South for next year's general election. Okaji, a respected community leader, elder statesman, and educationist, died on November 14, 2025, at the age of 93 according to his burial programme announced Okorie. He described his late father as a man of integrity, wisdom, and service whose contributions to education and community development would remain enduring legacies. He said sobriquet “Patron Eguani” was earned by the late Patriarch through his lifelong commitment to the welfare and development of younger people in his community. …
