Earlier this season Xander Schauffele's consecutive cuts made streak ended at 72. A couple of weeks ago, Scottie Scheffler was the PGA Tour active leader at 78 when that ended at the Scottish Open. A week later at the British, Matt Fitzpatrick at 28 was the leader in the category but that was short-lived as he missed the weekend.
Heading into the 3M Open , Hideki Matsuyama was the active leader with 28 straight made cuts. Through 27 holes at TPC Twin Cities, the Japanese start was 2 under overall and on the wrong side of the projected cut of 3 under, putting him in danger of being the latest cuts made leader to come up short.
