Matt O’Riley exit could hand Celtic transfer windfall Matt O’Riley has indicated he would welcome the chance to explore a new opportunity after a difficult spell with Brighton. The ex-Celtic midfielder struggled for regular football following his move to the south coast. A productive loan stint at Marseille brought two goals and five assists before Brighton brought him back in January, although he featured just four times for Fabian Hurzeler during the remainder of the campaign.
Any move away from the Amex Stadium could prove financially beneficial for Celtic, who secured a 10 per cent sell-on clause on any profit Brighton make from the £25million transfer agreed in August 2024.
