Kompany left impressed by 16-year-old Bayern gem Bastian Assomo Bastian Assomo has reportedly impressed Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany, according to a Sport BILD article.
The German with Cameroonian backgrounds talent made a strong impression right from his first pre-season training session.
Kompany has been paying close attention to him, offering him advice on his positioning and even joining a session defending against him.
Assomo, standing at 1.90 meter tall, has considerable strengths in his finishing and agility despite his powerful build.
The 16-year old is currently focusing on refining his technique and is mainly planned for Bayern's U-23 side this coming season.
Having trained several times with the first team and impressing Kompany, it's conceivable he could get more chances under the Belgian.
