The management of Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Kogi State, has expelled two students for engaging in gay practices and rusticated four others for one academic session over fighting on campus.
This is contained in separate letters addressed to the affected students and signed by the Deputy Registrar, Academics, Eli Gbadafu, on Saturday.
The institution said the disciplinary actions followed recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee and were ratified at the 31st regular meeting of the university’s Senate.
According to the institution, the sanctions were imposed in line with the provisions of the Students’ Handbook, Second Edition, as amended in 2025.
The two expelled students were: Onumoko Hamza, Biology Education Department; and Abdulazeez Eneji, Mining Engineering Department.
