The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has generated N19.4 billion in revenue in June 2026, representing a 35 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year, while intercepting a shipment of expired disposable vape products with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N809.7 million.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos on Thursday, the Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Bolaji Lukman Adigun, said the command collected N19.40 billion in June, compared with N14.36 billion recorded in June 2025, an increase of N5.04 billion.
He attributed the improved performance to stronger stakeholder compliance, enhanced trade facilitation measures, intelligence-driven operations and the commitment of officers of the command.
