Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s Wife Shot at Home, Son in Custody

John Mersits/Cal Sport Media/Newscom/The Mega Agency The wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was reportedly shot at the couple’s Virginia home.

ESPN reported via sources on Monday, July 27, that Mia Bieniemy , 57, was shot the night before and has been hospitalized.

Local authorities confirmed to the outlet that a person was being treated for “serious injuries” but did not provide the person’s name.

In a statement to the Associated Press , the Chiefs said, “The club is aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy’s family. Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t have a comment at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Eric, 56, was with the football team at training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Sunday, according to the AP.
