Jalen Brunson made headlines when he took a pay cut worth $100,000,000 with the New York Knicks . It ended up being successful because that was the key to the Knicks being able to sign players like Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby to bigger contracts.
Considering they were crucial to winning the championship, just like Brunson, it was worth it. Some people were not big fans of this, including Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, because he thinks the Knicks could have afforded it anyway.
