Inter Milan confirm pursuit of Tottenham captain Cristian Romero as Argentine eyes Serie A return Inter Milan have confirmed that the club are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur captain Cristian Romero .
Romero is keen to leave Tottenham this summer having expressed his unhappiness with the club's performances across the last two campaigns. Spurs have finished successive seasons 17th in the Premier League table, with Romero having been critical of the board.
In February, Romero said it was 'disgraceful' that the Spurs hierarchy had not made signings in January to help combat the club's injury issues.
Speaking after a draw with Bournemouth, he said: “I wanted to be available to help them even though I wasn’t feeling well, especially as we had only 11 players available – unbelievable but true and disgraceful.”
