The Presidency has criticised the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Peter Obi, over his recent interview on Channels Television.
The Presidency accused Obi of distorting facts about his political career and refusing to accept the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
In a statement posted on his X account on Monday, President Bola Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the interview as a “PR disaster,” saying Obi failed to revive his political fortunes ahead of the 2027 general election.
Onanuga took issue with Obi's comparison of his political movement across parties with Tinubu's political journey, insisting that the President had remained consistent with his progressive political ideology despite changes in party platforms.
