Why a former top-five pick's NBA comeback could make the Cavaliers deeper and more dangerous this season. The Cleveland Cavaliers’ offseason is back in business after LeBron James spurned them for the Philadelphia 76ers. With the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar joining a potential playoff opponent, the Cavs signed 2015 No. 5 pick Mario Hezonja to a one-year, $2.8 million deal on Sunday.
According to NBA analyst Kevin O’Connor, Hezonja could be a key addition to a team looking to bounce back from a humiliating sweep against the New York Knicks in the 2026 Eastern Conference finals.
