Standard Chartered has announced a record financial performance for the first half of 2026, driven by strong growth in its Wealth Solutions and Global Banking businesses, while raising its income outlook for the full year.
The international bank reported a record operating income of USD11.6 billion, with profit before tax rising 9 per cent to USD4.8 billion. Earnings per share also increased 17 per cent, reflecting continued business momentum across its international markets.
Commenting on the results, Group Chief Executive, Bill Winters, said: “We delivered a record first-half performance in 2026, with double-digit growth in Wealth Solutions and Global Banking.
