Former Spurs striker set for MLS move after leaving Antwerp
Former Spurs striker Vincent Janssen is set to join the MLS. According to HNB , the now former Antwerp striker will join Portland Timbers, turning down moves from clubs in Japan, Türkiye and the Middle East. Janssen had been a key player for Antwerp after joining a few seasons ago but the club were not able to agree a deal with the former Spurs striker. Janssen has been said to be keen on a move to the MLS for some time now.
The 32-year-old Janssen broke out at AZ Alkmaar, where he scored 31 goals in just 49 games during the 2015/2016 season. This earned him a move to Spurs in the Premier League. Sadly Janssen was unable to make things work with Spurs, scoring just six goals in 42 games.
