Media types tend to throw around comparisons like opinions, and a lot of the time, it's a bit of a stretch. However, when a Hall-of-Famer does it, it carries a little more weight. So, maybe, when former Ohio State legendary receiver and NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter draws a pretty significant comparison, we might want to listen.
While appearing on the Fully Loaded podcast recently, Carter was asked what he thinks of OSU backup quarterback Tavien St. Clair: "What do you think of Tavien St. Clair , the backup for the Buckeyes ? I think he could be Justin Fields." It was a question that came in from a caller, and the former Minnesota Viking legend didn't hesitate to go stratospheric with what he thought of the Ohio native waiting his turn behind current quarterback Julian Sayin .
