Experts have urged human resources (HR) professionals to shift workforce culture with the transition from being an administrative support function to becoming the architecture upon which business resilience and growth are built.
This call was made during the 2026 human resource space conference organised by Caleb University in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Cambridge University, and Manchester University.
Speaking at the conference, the senior researcher at the Centre for International Human Research Management of Cambridge University, Jan Jensen, urged firms to move away from transactional HR activities to become strategic.
