T.J. Dillashaw doubts Ian Machado Garry can handle Islam Makhachev 's ground game.
Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) makes his first welterweight title defense against Machado Garry (17-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) in the UFC 330 headliner Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia ( Paramount+ ).
Dillashaw is siding with the big favorite Makhachev, who will look to break the UFC record for longest active winning streak.
"Makhachev (wins)," Dillashaw said on the JAXXON PODCAST . "I think it's going to be a tough fight. I think Garry's footwork is going to be somewhat of a problem, and his range. But Makhachev is going to get it done. I think he's too strong in his grappling for Garry. I know Garry is hard to take down because of his motion, but Makhachev will always get it done. He's going to wrist-ride him. He's going to break him on top."
