Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, made the 911 call after being shot twice by her son, according to Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.
While not explicitly naming the victim in the case, Chapman told ABC 7 News (WJLA, Washington, D.C.) that the victim of the alleged shooting called emergency services after being shot "a couple" of times.
"She had called in – the mother, who we know – had called in the shooting, and it was involving the son, so that's where we're at right now," Chapman said on July 27 .
Mia Bieniemy is hospitalized for "serious" injuries. According to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, she is in stable condition .
"Our hearts go out to Eric Bieniemy and his family. Thoughts and prayers are with them," Reid told reporters Monday, July 27. "Mia is stable, which is a plus. We all love EB, and you hate seeing those things…
