Ireland's sizzling summer may be taking a breather, but forecasters say the sunshine could be set for an exciting comeback next month.
After weeks of glorious blue skies and soaring temperatures, the weather is expected to turn cooler and more changeable over the coming days, with cloud, scattered showers and a noticeable dip in temperatures bringing the current heatwave to an end.
Daytime highs are expected to slip from the low 20s this weekend into the mid-teens by the final days of July, giving Ireland a taste of more typical summer weather.
