The San Francisco Giants entered Friday night's series opener against the Los Angeles Angels looking to snap a five-game losing streak after an off day on Thursday. The matchup appeared to favor San Francisco, with ace Logan Webb taking the mound against Angels starter Grayson Rodriguez , who has struggled throughout the 2026 season.
The Giants snapped their losing streak in dramatic fashion, defeating the Angels 7-6 on Rafael Devers' walk-off ground-rule double in the bottom of the 10th inning. Caleb Kilian earned his third win of the season.
The Angels struck first in the opening inning on Nolan Schanuel's RBI single to take a 1-0 lead. The momentum was short-lived, however, as the Giants answered immediately in the bottom half. Devers launched a two-run homer, his 21st of the season, to put San Francisco in front 2-1.
