Florida State football bolstered its coaching staff nearly two weeks ago when it added Tom Herman. He has previously been a head coach for the Texas Longhorns , Houston Cougars, and Florida Atlantic Owls.
With that said, the details of how much he'll be paid have come to light per Kolby Crawford of Noles247 . Herman's paycheck isn't what people think it is.
Florida State onboarding paperwork obtained by Noles247 through a public records request shows Tom Herman signed on with the Seminoles as an OPS employee, the university's classification for hourly staff, at $25 per hour across a 40-hour week. His tentative start date was listed as July 15.
Herman got a contract extension from Houston in December of 2015 that took his salary from $1.3 million annually to $2.8 million. At Texas, he signed a five-year deal worth $28.75 million in 2016, and an extension was supposed to pay him $6.5…
