The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has ordered a comprehensive technical investigation into the collapse of a two-storey building on Baale Road, Ajuwon, in the Ifo Local Government Area, where one person has been confirmed dead following the incident.
In a statement issued in Abeokuta, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, has, however, reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to protecting lives and preventing similar incidents across the state.
The building, which collapsed on Monday afternoon following a severe thunderstorm, claimed several lives while several occupants narrowly escaped.
