Confirmed: Wolves forward Tolu Arokodare joins Ajax on loan
Ajax have confirmed Tolu Arokodare’s loan arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The towering Nigerian striker’s deal includes an option to buy.
The 25-year-old Arokodare leaves England after Wolves were relegated from the Premier League. The imposing forward featured 33 times in the first tier last term, scoring three times and registering one assist. He will now compete for a place with fellow new signing Marcos Leonardo, who joined from Al-Hilal.
Ajax Technical Director Jordi Cruyff spoke positively about Arokodare’s arrival. “With Tolu, we are bringing in a striker with a profile we did not yet have in our squad. He is strong and has shown he can score goals. We are confident that he will help us this season.”
