In the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader, the Mets (46-63) couldn't complete the sweep against the Atlanta Braves (63-45), losing 1-0 on a clear night at Citi Field.
Center fielder A.J. Ewing , first baseman Jared Young , and second baseman Brett Baty - who all started in the first game of the day - were swapped out of the lineup in this one for Luis Robert Jr. , Eric Wagaman , and Marcus Semien , respectively. Meanwhile, Francisco Alvarez moved from catcher in game one to designated hitter in game two, replacing Jorge Polanco , and Luis Torrens served as the backstop in Alvarez's place.
