The management of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar, has distanced itself from the ongoing process for the appointment of a substantive medical director, urging aggrieved individuals to channel their complaints to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Abuja.
The hospital said the interview for the position was conducted by the federal ministry in Abuja on June 11, and not by the management of the Calabar-based psychiatric institution, stressing that no official result has been released.
The clarification was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the hospital's Public Relations Unit while reacting to allegations surrounding a recent protest at the facility over the appointment process.
