The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has rejected claims that the late President Muhammadu Buhari created the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), describing the allegation as false.
In a statement released on Sunday, the group said Buhari established only the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), not the PFIPC, which the Presidency has declared fake and which is now under investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The response followed comments by the Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, Tanimu Yakubu, who told the House of Representatives that the PFIPC traced its roots to the Presidential Economic Advisory Council launched by Buhari on October 9, 2019.
