The Bears continued making moves Tuesday ahead of the team's first practice.
They placed defensive end Montez Sweat on the non-football illness list. His absence is not expected to be long, according to multiple reports.
Sweat totaled a career-high 53 tackles, with 10 sacks, 18 quarterback hits and five passes defensed last season.
Safety Elijah Hicks went on the active/physically unable to perform list on Tuesday.
General Manager Ryan Poles said Hicks has shin discomfort.
Hicks played 309 special teams snaps in 17 games last season and 62 defensive snaps and recorded 19 total tackles.
