The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that nothing will prevent it from winning back Osun State in the upcoming August 15, 2026 governorship election, describing the contest as a critical test run for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Abuja during the inauguration of the APC National Campaign Council at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, emphasized that the party has assembled a formidable team of political figures to execute an aggressive, grassroots-driven campaign.
“This is the last governorship election before 2027—our litmus test,” Yilwatda said, highlighting the party’s vast network of governors, lawmakers, and recent defectors from opposition parties as a key advantage. He assured supporters that the APC would conduct house-to-house mobilization across the state to reclaim the Government House.
