Stakeholders in Adamawa State’s health sector have called for stronger collaboration to revitalise and strengthen healthcare delivery under the state’s Contributory Health Scheme.
The call was made during a two-day strategic engagement involving healthcare providers, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), and enrollees at the Nyako Conference Centre, State Secretariat, Yola.
The forum brought together representatives of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), insurance providers, third-party administrators and other key stakeholders in the state’s health insurance ecosystem to deliberate on strategies for improving the performance and sustainability of the scheme.
Discussions centred on key challenges affecting the scheme, including the rising cost of healthcare services and its implications for sustainability, as well as discrepancies in the enrolment database.
