‘I’m in a good state’: Tottenham star Xavi Simons issues update on long-term injury
Tottenham midfielder Xavi Simons has shared an encouraging update on his recovery from a serious knee injury, confirming that he’s making progress as he works towards returning to action.
The Netherlands international suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during Spurs’ Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers in April.
After undergoing surgery the following month, the injury ruled him out for the rest of the season and ended any hopes of playing for the Dutch national team at the World Cup.
It was a major setback for Simons, who was expected to play an important role for the Netherlands after impressing throughout their qualification campaign.
