Denver Broncos veterans reported for training camp on Tuesday, and star cornerback Pat Surtain immediately fielded questions about the club contending for a Super Bowl this season.
“Our expectations are pretty high, but we are just going to take it week-by-week," Surtain said. "Obviously, that’s the main goal, but it starts right here in training camp and it starts early on in the season. Our main focus is to start out fast and start out hot early. That way we can prepare ourselves to get to that stage.”
Surtain clearly believes Denver has the pieces in place to contend for a title this fall.
“I think we have all of the right pieces and the right team," PS2 said. "The coaches invest a lot into us and pour a lot into us, too. When you put all of that together, it makes for a great team. We have the right guys with the right mentality to start things off the right way. This team is…
