Jackson Koivun fended off Scottie Scheffler to pick up his inaugural PGA Tour win on Sunday afternoon. Andrew Wevers via Getty Images Jackson Koivun only needed a few weeks to pick up his first PGA Tour win.
Now, the 21-year-old former Auburn star has already surpassed the $1 million threshold.
Koivun ran away with the 3M Open this weekend , and successfully fended off the top-ranked golfer in the world, to grab his inaugural Tour victory. Koivun posted a 5-under 66 in his final round on Sunday at TPC Twin Cities, which got him to 25-under on the week and gave him the three-shot win.
That win secured him a $1.584 million check, part of the $8.8 million purse that was up for grabs this week in Blaine, Minnesota.
