India captain Shreyas Iyer credited the team's fearless approach and the maturity of its young players after leading India to a 3-0 T20I series sweep over Zimbabwe, calling his first series win as captain a "special moment."
India completed the clean sweep with a 35-run victory in the third and final T20I at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday. After posting 192/5, the visitors restricted Zimbabwe to 157/7.
Speaking after the match, Iyer praised the energy and intent shown by the players throughout the series.
"As we saw how fearless they are, they are a young bunch of players who have been showing tremendous energy on the field and the intent, especially when you play back-to-back games.
