As stated many times before, the Philadelphia Phillies, at 56-47 and 4.5 games out in the National League East as of July 24, need to be all in at this year's trade deadline.
That could result in the Phillies making a blockbuster trade, too, though it remains uncertain what Philadelphia really wants to do. If the Phillies think they have a real opportunity to win a World Series, they can go in a few different directions.
If they want to try to be cheap and make smaller moves, there could also be benefits if they work out.
However, I believe this organization needs to do much more than just make small moves, which is why the most recent blockbuster trade idea would make a ton of sense.
Bleacher Report recently suggested that Philadelphia should go after Josh Hader of the Houston Astros, and I really don't think there would be many better options out there for this…
